Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah actress Munmun Dutta, who is popularly known by her screen name Babita, gave a glimpse of her new house to her fans on her social media site. A self-proclaimed private person by nature, Munmun revealed that after much thought she decided to do this house tour. Here, take a look at her plush new house décor and interiors, which has been meticulously selected. (Pics: YT)
Munmun said that she has designed the entire house and each corner reflects her personality. She lives with her mother and two pet cats – Kuki and Mau. Giving a glimpse of the living room, one can see a lot of white upholstery, art frames, big TV cabinet in brown shade and delicate chandeliers. (Pics: YT)
The entire house has a lot of muted colours. She said, “You will get to see a mix of white and grey along with gold and rose gold.” You will find the pop of gold in the furniture with muted shades. Munmun has kept a lot of seating arrangements and shared that everything is measured to the ‘T’. You will also find a colourful hand-woven carpet laden in the living area. (Pics: YT)
Keeping in mind the colour theme of the house, Munmun has carefully handpicked interesting artifacts in gold. You will find a big sun-shaped mirror with a tinge of rose gold. Even the artworks have gold flecks on them.
Munmun took special care for the dining table. She bought the stone and got it designed herself. The pristine white table has golden frames and it’s the actress’ favourite spot to dine and chill. (Pics: YT)
You will see a lot of paneling on the walls and Munmun reveals that she wanted to divide the walls for the art works. There are a lot of colorful abstract art frames that work aesthetically. (Pics: YT)
When Munmun bought the house, she instantly took a liking to the big and spacious kitchen area. It has a grey and black combination of colours. Even the bottles are grey in colours. Munmun has added a bit of green in the kitchen with small planters. (Pics: YT)
The actress addresses her mother’s room as a guest room because she reveals her mom behaves like a guest. The room has a gold undertone in terms of panels and gold flecks on the wallpaper. The curtains and the headboard add a dash of green. You will also see a cute chair in the corner, which adds a pop of yellow. (Pics: YT)
A big accent wall will welcome your eyes to the main bedroom. The accent wall has a huge painting. While the bed linen is in white, the cushions have a floral touch and the curtains are in solid colours. Throughout the house you will find big mirrors, glass chandeliers and gold panels adding to the details. (Pics: YT)
Munmun always wished to have a cozy balcony, even if it is small in size. There’s a colourful chandelier in the balcony, which Munmun brought from her trip to turkey. Munmun opened up about her abode and mentioned it is a result of her hard work. “I have come a long way and I am super proud of it,” said Munmun in the video. (Pics: YT)
