BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2021 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — A Boca Raton man was arrested twice in two days — first for allegedly assaulting his wife who he claimed to be divorcing, then for returning to their shared home after judge told him not to.

Paul Keenan is now facing charges of ”dating violence/aggravated assault” which is a misdemeanor, and one felony count of ”violation of a no contact order.” Keenan’s wife, according to a police report, used a stun gun on him in an effort to keep him away.

Keenan, according to his arrest report, was fired from his accounting job several days ago and came home SW 12th Terrace home intoxicated, searching for marijuana. That led to a physical altercation with his wife which became so loud and heated, neighbors called police.

This is part of the narrative filed by Boca Raton Police:

”V1 stated Paul Kennan, later identified by his Florida Identification Card, came home a fav hours ago drunk. She stated she locked the sliding glass patio door to the house after causing a scene inside the residence by trying to knock down the master bedroom door. V1 stated he woke up Victim 2 (V2), identified by her Florida Driver’s License. V1 stated Paul was fired two weeks ago from his accounting job and has been coming home drunk, irate and scarring her and v2. Vl stated this happens often.

I then spoke with Paul who came around from the backyard and sat down on a chair on the front porch. He was in an agitated state. I detected an odor of alcohol emanating from his breath and observed his nose to be swollen and blood on his forehead and the bridge of his nose. I asked Paul about these injuries and he stated he slammed his face into the (master bedroom) door trying to get into his bedroom. Paul stated his lawyer told him that he should not move out in order to obtain the house in the divorce. Paul was intoxicated and repeated that it was his house.

I then spoke with V2 who seemed shaken and upset V2 stated she woke up to a banging noise coming from the master bedroom. Where she could hear he door breaking. V2 stated (Paul) has done this before where he gets drunk and irate. V2 stated he was this morning in that same emotional state and drunk again. He seemed really mad at the fact he could not locate the marijuana he smokes, V2 stated that at some point Paul walked outside to the back yard and began throwing objects around and screaming.

(Neighbors had called into dispatch stating they could see her locking the doors and hear him screaming) V2 then placed her self at the sliding glass patio doors and she opened the door for (redacted) who was trying to get back into the house. V2 was in fear of Paul but reluctantly unlocked and opened the sliding glass door after he screamed for her to open the door. Prior to unlocking the sliding glass door V2 grabbed her teal Sabre s-1005 Stun Gun with her right hand After V2 unlocked and opened the door for Paul lunged toward as if he was going to hit her. V2 was in fear and thought she was about to get attacked and punched by Paul. V2 reacted to Paul movements by holding her right hand out making contact with Paul’s abdomen area and activated the Sabre Stun Gun. This was all in effort to keep Paul away from herself and After being stunned Paul moved away from the sliding glass door and never went back inside the house.

I advised Paul that he was being arrested for Domestic Aggravated Assault on V2 per Florida State Statute 784.046(1) (3). I placed him in handcuff, double locked them and he sat in the back seat of my marked patrol car. I then transported him to the Boca Raton Regional Hospital to get clearance from the self inflicted injury to his nose and forehead. He was then transported to Palm Beach County Jail.”

Paul Keenan was first arrested and jailed on December 18th, then again on December 19th. He remains held on $50,000 bond.
